Kriston Erving, MA
Kriston Ervin has worked as a school counselor for more than 5 years at the elementary, middle, and high school levels. Other previous experience includes significant work with individuals on the autism spectrum through mentorship programs. Kriston earned his Bachelor degree in Psychological Sciences, Master’s degree in School Counseling, and is currently completing his Educational Specialist degree in Professional Counseling. As a black male Kriston understands the challenges of finding therapists who understand the unique intersectional difficulties that exist for people of color. As a result, Kriston has committed himself to practicing and educating others on Anti-Racism and Anti-Bias. Kriston is also highly knowledgeable on cultural dynamics and issues within the LGBTQ community.
Kriston primarily utilizes Cognitive-Behavioral Theory, Mindfulness, and Solution-Focused Theory in his therapeutic practice. His school counseling experience has allowed him to develop a broad range of skills from working with diverse individuals at different developmental stages. Kriston is excited to follow your lead and support your journey into understanding, healing, and fullness.
